I wanted to learn Japanese because I love watching anime, and J-dramas.
Although nowadays I don't have enough time to watch the shows, I really enjoy them.
I was able to watch them with subtitles, but always wondered if I would be able to watch the shows without subtitle.
Furthermore, I have Japanese friends who I would like to communicate in their own language.
As a political science major, and a Korean, the political relationship between Korea and Japan is also my interest area. Learning a foreign language allows us to learn the culture of that country.
I would like to learn more about Japanese culture, so I can understand Japan more comprehensively.
